The OpenCAx Association is a non-profit association founded to support the development of Open Source computer-aided technologies (CAx) through community collaboration, charitable philanthropy, technology innovation, applied research, and educational initiatives.

Our mission is to support an internationally diverse collective of Open Source software developers and respective project communities that collaboratively develop CAx software for public good.


The OpenCAx Assocation was incorporated as a non-profit organization on December 31, 2014 in the state of Delaware, USA. Prior to 2021, OpenCAx has had no revenue or operating expenses and, as such, has not yet filed a request with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service for 501(c)(3) status. That is, however, our intention as funded initiatives have commenced as of 2021.

The documents that define the purpose and operation of OpenCAx are the By-Laws and Certificate of Incorpoation.
